How it works
Babysitters can't sign up and list themselves here. Every profile starts with a real recommendation from a local parent — that's the whole point.
Step 1
A parent recommends a babysitter
A verified parent submits a sitter they've actually used, in their own words — how long they've known them, how often they've sat, and what makes them great. If the sitter isn't in our directory, we create a pending profile.
Step 2
The babysitter claims and verifies the profile
We invite the sitter to claim their profile. They confirm their details, verify their email, add certifications, photos and availability, and share a Facebook or LinkedIn profile that our team reviews privately.
Step 3
Our team reviews before anything goes live
Recommendations, parents and claims are all reviewed. Approved profiles get a Verified Profile badge; approved parents get a Verified Parent badge on their recommendations.
Step 4
Parents contact sitters safely
Signed-in parents send an inquiry with preferred dates, children's ages and a message. We email the sitter and they reply directly. Contact details are never published.
Our badges reflect community recommendations and a manual review of a social profile. They are not identity verification and not a criminal background check. Always meet and interview a sitter yourself before hiring.
